Spelinspektionen prohibits duel.com from operating in Sweden

Spelinspektionen has prohibited Immortal Snail LLC, operator of duel.com, from offering unlicensed gambling in Sweden, after a second check showed the company had not blocked access from Sweden as it said it would.
The regulator opened the case, numbered 26Si2185, on suspicion that the site was directed at Sweden. Investigators saw Swedish-language content, SEK listed among payment currencies, and marketing on Swedish websites, although a covert test purchase was not completed. When Spelinspektionen checked again on October 28, duel.com still showed Swedish and SEK to users logging in from a Swedish IP address.
Spelinspektionen stated:
“Furthermore, the authority has noted continued Swedish-language marketing of the company’s website duel.com.”
Under Sweden’s Gambling Act, whether an online site targets the country is an overall assessment, in which Swedish text and the option to deposit or win in SEK carry weight. Immortal Snail is registered in Charlestown, Nevis, while duel.com says it holds license ALSI-202411026-FI1 from Anjouan. Additionally, the ban carries no conditional fine.
Sweden has taken similar action against other offshore brands, including the operator of stakes.com in September and Liquid Entertainment N.V., over duelbits.com, in August 2025. Since 2023, the government has also been able to require payment providers to reject card payments to unlicensed gambling sites.
