Catena Media promotes Stefan Grech to SVP of Technology

Stefan Grech, who joined Catena Media in 2020 as corporate IT team lead, has been named the company’s senior vice president (SVP) of technology and will now sit on its executive management team.

The promotion, which takes effect immediately, puts Grech in charge of Catena’s technology and development strategy, and his main task will be to bring AI and automation into the business while building the digital tools needed to support new sources of revenue. Before stepping up, he served as director of technical operations, overseeing platform development and the company’s technical infrastructure, and had earlier worked as head of infrastructure.

Chief executive Manuel Stan said Grech’s knowledge of how the company works and his relationships across the business made him the right choice.

Catena Media has been widening its focus in recent months, entering the prediction markets space and investing in Repackz.fun to diversify into pack rips. The company’s preliminary third-quarter update in October flagged that its results would be affected by significant changes in search trends.
