With over 15 years of experience in business development, including leadership experience as a department head, Alessia Smirnova has built her career around commercial strategy, relationship building, and business growth. She holds an MBA in Sales and a master’s degree in International Negotiations from the University of Mons (UMONS), Belgium.
Over the past four years, Alessia has focused on the iGaming industry, developing commercial relationships across Latin America and Europe. Her experience spans strategic partnerships, deal-making, sales process development, onboarding, and sales enablement, with a focus on aligning commercial strategy with execution and building sustainable business growth.
Beyond her commercial work, Alessia co-hosts Mind the Game, a column exploring the business side of iGaming through discussions on strategy, data, marketing, and the trends shaping the industry.
