Hacksaw has promoted chief compliance officer Philippa Gregory to operational CEO of its Malta-based subsidiary, Hacksaw Gaming, as Marcus Cordes moves to build the group’s prediction markets business.

Cordes has run Hacksaw Gaming since February 2022 and will now take charge of Hacksaw Markets, a recently launched B2B division. The two executives will work together on the handover until December 1.

Marcus Cordes, outgoing Operational CEO of Hacksaw Gaming, said:

“Over the past five years, I have focused on building a strong management team, ready to take the company onto its next phase. Philippa has always been a natural successor in my eyes, and I was pleased to recommend her appointment.”

Gregory has worked at Hacksaw since April 2022 and joined group management in January 2025. Luke Hammett, the company’s chief commercial officer, is also being added to the group management team.

Ana Vrabic Verdir, Group CEO of Hacksaw, said:

“This transition gives both businesses the dedicated leadership and focus needed to support our group strategy.”

The appointments came as Hacksaw posted Q3 revenue of €58.1 million, up 12%, and a profit of €45.7 million, compared with €38.7 million a year earlier. Average daily rounds played increased 19%, and the OpenRGS platform carried 399 titles at the end of September, up from 268.
