Gentoo Media cuts 2026 forecast and secures €100M backing

Gentoo Media has lowered its 2026 revenue forecast for the second time since late August. It has also lined up €100 million from its largest shareholders, the Juroszek family, to repay a €91.5 million bond maturing in December.
The Malta-based affiliate now puts full-year revenue at about €92 million, against a previous forecast of €97 million to €100 million. When it cut its outlook in August, Gentoo told investors to expect news on refinancing by October 1.
The funding comes in two parts. A foundation connected to the Juroszek family is lending €50 million to a Gentoo subsidiary, secured against the business. Another €50 million will come from new shares, and the family has agreed to take up any that other shareholders leave unsubscribed.
CEO Jonas Warrer said:
“This puts a clear, fully committed solution in place ahead of our December bond maturity. The new loan strengthens the Company’s balance sheet and will over time give us the flexibility to return capital to shareholders, whether through dividends or share buybacks, as our board may decide.”
After the bonds are paid off, Gentoo will owe roughly €57.5 million to its biggest shareholders. The share structure changes go to a vote at an extraordinary general meeting on November 2.
Brazil’s ban on fixed-odds betting is one of the two reasons Gentoo gave for the cut. The market brought in about €3.8 million in net revenue over the first eight months of 2026, and the company had been expecting faster growth there in Q4. The new forecast leaves Brazil out entirely. Quieter player activity and poorer sports margins at the end of Q3 also dragged on revenue.
